BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides direct and indirect patient care. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects imitative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a registered nurse. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or respond to treatment.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of approved School of Practical Nursing. Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama. Must be certified in CPR on an annual basis.

Job Summary:

The Agency Director is the chief superintendent of the entire operation, and is responsible for creating optimum health and welfare conditions for patients and employees. Directs contract consultation and counseling with patients and reports to all governing authorities. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing the Director trains and supervises employees and interprets personnel policies. Directly responsible for effective and economic operations and ensuring tactful leadership and supervision that departmental goals and operations are accomplished efficiently within established performance standards and budgetary allocations.

Qualifications:

  • Current Alabama RN License
  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience
  • 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in Home Health or related health programs
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact / relate with all levels of staff, physicians, and the community.
